1- Tendency of Distrust or Blaming Others

Firstly a person suffering from paranoid personality disorder tends to shift blame of everything to others even when he is responsible for a particular mistake. Such person shows extreme distrust about others and blames them for having hostile intentions for him. He always thinks that people are conspiring against him or trying to deceive him. That is why he tries to find out the hidden meaning of their actions and comments all the time to get the actual thing.

2- Total Self Reliance and Finding Faults with Others

Secondly excessive mistrust about other people makes him a self reliant person with no importance and regard for other’s thinking and thoughts. In most of the situations such person tries to find fault with others rather than understanding their viewpoints.

3- Challenging Others to Prove their Loyalties

Thirdly to reduce the inner tension and confusion created by distrust about others, such person does not hesitate to challenge the sincerities and loyalties of his loved ones. By doing such activity he just tries to remove his suspicion about their faithfulness but even after accepting and completing his challenge by his loved ones he does not rely upon that person for long time and again indulge in the abnormal state of distrust on some minor happening.  .

4- Cold and Distant Behavior towards Others

Fourthly the person with paranoid personality disorder also shows cold and distant behavior towards his loved ones because of having negative images about them in his mind. Therefore such person acts very selfishly on the miseries and pain of his friends or family members.

5- Hypersensitivity and Strong Reaction on Criticism

Fifthly on one hand such patient put baseless allegations upon others with no regard for their self respect and emotions while on other hand he remains hypersensitive about his own personality and does not tolerate any criticism about him in any matter.

6- Reluctant to Reveal Personal Information

Sixthly abnormal mental condition of having no trust upon others makes such person reluctant to reveal any personal information required at specific events. The reason is that such person has doubt that this information will be misused by others to harm him in some way.

7- Difficulty in Being Relaxed

Seventhly a person living with paranoid personality disorder feels extreme difficulty in being relaxed for long time period because of his negative thinking and ideas about the people living around him. Such person also reported to have nightmares in which he is being harmed by others. This thing further makes him tense and suspicious and cause great difficulty in taking rest for sometime.

8- Prejudicial Ideas and Social Cutoff

Eighthly a patient of paranoid personality disorder often has prejudicial ideas and biases about various aspects and matters of life. This thing makes him more argumentative and irritating personality for others. Because of having no agreement or acceptance on majority of issues with others, such person socially cutoff from them and likes to live alone in the world of his own pessimistic ideas and biases all around.

9- Unforgiving Nature and Tendency to hold Grudges

Ninthly paranoid personality disorder makes a person unforgiving and unsympathetic towards others. Such person also tends to hold grudges and long term negative feelings for others with no meaningful reason at all.

If you are interested the reason a person with PPD is unforgiving is 1. They would not have treated the person that way. 2. To forgive is to set yourself up for the same type of painful treatment you just received from this person. 3. I don’t remember ever getting an apology that I could forgive.
