A new research by the researchers of Yale school of medicine recommends that “depression robustly activates regions of brain which are concerned with cravings in women dependent on cocaine”. Whereas the drug cues activates parallel regions of brain in men dependent on cocaine. The research along with its findings will be published in an American Journal of Psychiatry. This periodical recommends that cocaine dependence in men and women might benefit them more with the treatment options. There is dissimilarity in treatment results for individuals with addictions who go through stress induced drug cravings and those individuals whose cravings were encouraged by drug cues.

A man’s memory of unpleasant and emotional experiences is more likely to be accurate than woman’s. This was reported as per a research conducted by researchers from University of Montreal at the Hospital of Louis H Lafontaine. Less research has been conducted to find how arousal and valance impact the memories independently of each other. A novel research was conducted to find out how repulsive or attractive we find an experience and how sensitively proactive it is. This research was conducted by Dr. Marc Lavoie, an author from the Department of Psychiatry of University of Montreal.

Levels of exhaustion in UK general practice are elevated, recommended a research of general practitioners in one region of South England which was published in BMJ Open. Male doctors who work in groups and if they see the similar patients every day, seem to be at noteworthy elevated level of risk. Researchers have prompted the authors to declare such doctors as a “noteworthy group of doctors which is in trouble”. The researchers have based their findings on a study which was conducted on 564 out of 789 qualified GPs who worked in the county of Essex. They found that these doctors were analyzed for burnout by means of validated measure.

A study of Victoria College of Wellington analyzed the experiences of some migrants of Britain to New Zealand. This study showed that it is general for the couples to have a difference of opinion to move into countries. Aidan Tabor along with her consultant Dr.Taciano Milfont, a professor from the School of Psychology investigated 95 residents of United Kingdom who were looking forward to emigration to New Zealand.

Psychology professors from Deakin University have discovered that body image does not bring a negative experience for women always. Rachel Chung, who was conducting a doctoral research, is looking out for experiences of women concerning their bodies and how this can be associated to “how they sense about themselves in various aspects of their lives”. The existing view on the body image is that normally women are dissatisfied with their bodies, says Ms Chung.
