Warts can be a very disfiguring condition and can occur in anyone. The treatment and cure for warts depends on various factors like the age of the person, and the size of the wart too. In fact some small warts that are not causing any problem can be left alone without any need for any sort of treatment. The only factor against ignoring the wart is that at times, the wart can keep spreading if no treatment to mage it is initiated.

Garlic is one of the home remedies for removal of warts. A paste made from garlic can be applied over the area where the warts are present and this paste can be left on the affected area for a time of about 5 to 6 hours. Then the paste can be washed off. This is very effective in removing the warts over a period of time.

As the wart is usually caused by a virus, called the Human Papilloma Virus or HPV, any medicine or treatment against this virus will be effective in curing the warts. One sort of this treatment is using banana peels and applying them over the wart. They kill the HPV virus that is present and so the warts are gone quicker than in any other type of home remedies.

Medically, the wart can be removed by causing decreased temperature in the affected area. This decrease in the temperature can be done by using nitrogen in  the liquid form to apply over the area. This causes a localized decrease in temperature which can be discomforting to the patient.

Other method of removing the warts is to use various invasive and non invasive techniques. One of these is the burning of the tissue in the region of the wart. This is one of the most common medical treatments available for the person with warts. This can be a painful procedure.

The warts can also be surgically removed from the part of the body and this is one of the best methods of reducing the chance of recurrence in the patient.

The wart can also be curetted off, or removed with the use of LASER.
