Protein rich food is very important for the body of the person. Many people include protein rich foods in the diet for various reasons and these reasons can vary from reducing the weight of the diet with protein rich diets and also to increase the muscle mass. The body would be healthy if the amount of protein in the food is about 10 to 20 percent.

Other foods that are added to the diet for their high protein content are the various nuts including cashew nuts, almonds and walnuts.

The animal based foods that can be consumed to add high protein food to the diet include foods such as eggs and dairy products, red meat that includes beef, pork and liver. White meat that includes chicken and fish are also rich in protein. Different types of cheese including mozzarella, brie and camembert cheese are also very rich in protein content.

These are the various kinds of food that can be consumed to get the various health benefits of a protein rich diet.
