Ear infection and earaches are commonly found in the children during the winter season. It is an inflammation of outer and middle ear. In most of the cases these infections leads to hearing loss of the individuals.

Various causes of ear infections and earaches:

One of the most common causes of earache is blockage of Eustachian tube. It is the tiny tube that bifurcate ear with nose. The reason for earache is because of increase in pressure of ear due the blockage of this tube. There various other causes like:

• Viral and bacterial infections
• Increase in the amount of ear lubricant or fluid in the ear
• Various sinus infection

Home remedies for ear infections and earaches:

1. One of the simplest home remedy for earache is by putting few drops of warm onion juice in each ear.
2. By putting the few drops of olive oil in each ear is also beneficial for ear irritation.
3. Special dietary supplement which are rich in vitamin c and minerals like zinc also helpful to fight against ear infections.
4. Special precautions should be carried out to ignore certain ear infection by avoiding pricking the ear with fingers, ball pen or hairpins.
5. Mango leaves extraction along with warm water. By putting few drops of this mixture on each ear also helpful in earaches.
6. Putting warm mustard oil in the each ear daily also reduces the chance of ear infection.
7. Humid steam close to the ear also helps in unblocking the Eustachian tube and helps to increase the blood circulation in the ear.
8. One can use two cloves of garlic along with two teaspoons of mustard oil by heating it till the colour of the mixture changes into black. After cooling this mixture it can be poured 2-3 drops in the each ear.
9. A best earache remedy is to pour 2-3 drops of 3% hydrogen peroxide in each ear for 10-15 minutes. It also helps in fighting against ear infections.
