Neck injuries tend to occur in car accidents and to the divers. Neck injuries may damage muscles and ligaments, sympathetic trunk, vertebral joints and disks. In intervertebral joints trauma is invisible on X-ray and manifest pain in the neck and the restriction of head movements that occur during the first 6 hours after injury. Then there are difficulties in bending and opening the head and headaches which may last for months.

The pain is localized in the neck, may gives dizziness and nausea to the patient. If the damage nerve roots develop sciatica. In addition, there is anxiety, depressed mood. The consequence of injury is cervical osteochondrosis.

Neck injuries can also cause headaches, dizziness, dimness in the eyes and pain during lifting a load.
