How To Avoid High Calorie Foods : Tips and methods

The place today is growingly becoming a place for people who are very conscious about their diet and who are high dreamers of owning a skinny figure for which avoiding high calorie food is important. Two things that need to be done to avoid high calorie food are a calorie counter book and fresh fruit vegetables. Some of the ways how high calorie food can be avoided are:

  • Learn about the hierarchy of calorie in every food.
  • Make a shopping list which negates the purchase of all these high calorie food.
  • Most of the times choose fresh nutritious food rather than tinned items.
  • Read the label about nutrition on each item carefully.
  • Purchase low fat yogurts and sugar free puddings and gelatos instead of cakes and cookies.
  • Carry your lunches and snacks from home instead of munching on oil tripping puri and curry.
  • Enjoy having your favorite food item but made in low calorie method. For eg. Use less cheese on a thin crust pizza.
  • Have your salad dressings and sauces be served in a side table to reduce the frequency of intake.
  • Avoid munching on something all the time. Prepare low calorie fat snacks instead of eating the  packed food from the stores.
  • On occasions splurge yourself with some high calorie food but do not continue to have it the next day.
  • Drink plenty of water as it is not just a needed for proper blood circulation and proper working of all parts of the body.

Food items that need to be avoided are:

  • Alcoholic drinks are responsible for regaining a lot of weight after a loss.
  • Meat is loaded with saturated fat and so cholesterol.
  • Fast foods are rich in calorie and sodium.
  • Egg yolk is high in calorie content though the white is rich in proteins.
  • Ice creams should be strictly restricted in case you are avoiding high calorie food.
  • Potato chips, chocolate, sugar, cake, donut, nut and pie are rich in calorie and should be avoided.
