Remedies and Drugs which induce diarrhea are:
Laxatives are given to patients when they are constipated however if laxatives are taken in large quantities they can cause diarrhea. Laxatives contain Magnesium salts like magnesium-hydroxide and magnesium-carbonate which can cause diarrhea.
Many antibodies like ampicillin lead to diarrhea in adults as well as children as they destroy the bacteria present in the intestine.
Herbal tea contains laxative which can cause diarrhea.
Honey contains high level of fructose and hence can cause diarrhea. The juice of fruits like mangoes and watermelon, cough syrups also can cause diarrhea as their fructose level is high.
Probiotics is used to balance the natural supplement to balance the body’s system and can however lead to diarrhea if it is being taken in large amount.
Fiber supplements are taking by those who have persistent constipation but if they are being taken in large quantity can cause diarrhea.
Diarrhea and Chemotherapy, Radiation therapy: Diarrhea is a common problem for those patients who are undergoing Chemotherapy or Radiation Therapy. Diarrhea can occur to cancer patients may be due to stress or the medicine which they take. Due to the Radiation therapy the lining of the stomach gets affected and hence the patients ca have diarrhea.

Medicines which are being given to prevent the rejection of transplant of organs.
How to avoid diarrhea?
Many a times milk and its products induces diarrhea in some people so it is advisable to avoid them.
Food items which are rich in fiber can induce bowel movement so avoid high fiber content food.
Drink sports drinks for about glasses to avoid diarrhea.
Carbonated drinks and vegetables such as cabbage should be avoided as they increase your chances of getting diarrhea.
Fried and fatty foods can cause diarrhea so it is better to avoid them.
Don’t drink hot coffee or tea.
Divide your food in small quantities throughout the day instead of eating in large quantities.
When diarrhea occurs due to the effect of some medicines then it is not advisable to stop these medicines without consulting your doctor.
Diarrhea can be harmful to your health if it is a persisting one as the body becomes weak due to loss of nutrients and water.
If you are having high fever, dizziness or cramping along with diarrhea then you should immediately seek medical assistance.
