Recent studies states that obesity rates are reducing  for Asian  and White children in California, due to public health awareness programs like  health campaigns which are successful in keeping teenage people away from the Junk foods and sweets .

All programs does not appear to be reached successfully to each and every child .Especially obesity rates are still rising for American and black Indian girls. Among them Teenagers, occupy the first place in obesity.

Madsen said in a statement “The fact that we’re seeing some decline suggests that the efforts we’re making on policy levels are having an impact, which is great. What no one expected is it’s driving a deeper wedge between racial and ethnic groups”.

The study that is published in the Pediatrics in the month of September stated that American Indian girls had two or three times higher odds of having a high BMI when compared to white Girls in U.S.

Landis replied that Sleep might also play an important role in children’s weight. Moreover Young children must sleep about 10 to 11 hours , kids need 10 hours of sleep, teenagers require nearly 9 hours. It can be very tough to be active without enough sleep daily.
