In 2011 Employees need to pay more for Healthcare

In order to meet the requirements of new health care law, nearly all employers need to pay little bit more for healthcare expenses as big business companies trying to change their healthcare plans based on new study.

National Business Group on Health (NBGH), which represents the large employers on healthcare issues, released the report Wednesday .It had took information from 72 large employers resembling nearly 3.7 million, people were questioned about medical claims costs for 2010.

This study displayed new things, which shows 63 percent of businesses plan to pay more percentage of their premium costs in the year 2011.In that overall increase 44 percent due to in-network deductibles and 46 percent for out-of-pocket maximums.

Helen Darling said in a press release, “As a result of those higher costs to patients, providers may see patients start asking more questions about the necessity of some procedures.”

.”What we hope, and we do see evidence of this, is that people will be asking tougher questions of what’s being done for or to them,” she said. “If the provider says, ‘We have to do an MRI,’ and the patient asks, ‘What will that do for my treatment?’ and the provider says, ‘Nothing, but we want to have additional information,’ then the patient may say, ‘Then I don’t want it.’”

Now Companies are planning to provide “consumer-directed health plans”.
