A new study says that children who are exposed to organophosphate pesticides in the mother’s womb are more likely to develop disorders. “At age of 3 it was not identified but when it was observed at age of 5   is published at Environmental Health Perspectives”.

Studies done on monkey also revealed same thing, until the original behavioral problems not coming out till the brain had become mature to support that type of complex mentality. At the time of children going to school only you can observe this type of hyperactivity.

Eskenazi, director of the Center for Children’s Environmental Health Research at the University Of California Berkeley School Of Public Healths said, “We saw that the children were making more errors on the test and that it was significantly related to the mother’s prenatal metabolite levels for these pesticides.”

His past five years research had also confirmed that low-dose organophosphate exposure in children’s neurodevelopment. If exposure is high then it can seriously effect on the mental condition of the child. This study was based on nearly 300 children of American farm workers in California, they also took organophosphate metabolites in the mothers’ urine and tested it.

Try to wash thoroughly your vegetables before you eat and cook.
