Botox, lip-plumping along with other similar treatments is becoming more and more popular with each passing day. The number of women opting for these treatments has increased by 15% in just one year.
On an average, about a million first time treatments are being done per year now. There are concerns about Botox injections given in the face result in various undesired effects including an expression similar to a mask and lacking normal movement.
Unmoved by the complications involved, the cosmetic treatments are constantly gaining popularity in both men and women alike. A research says that about 19 million people would love to undergo some or the other form of cosmetic treatment if in their budget.
Botox, the largest element of cosmetic treatments, has the ability to freeze facial musles and smooth away the wrinkles. It has market worth of 18 million UK Pounds every year.
The market for fillers used for plumping up the lips is enormous despite the notorious mistakes associated with the industry. Actress Lesley Ash’s treatment on her lips left her disfigured as it went wrong. Latest non-surgical treatments for a facelift are gaining popularity too.
The details for these new treatments are not yet known but according to skin experts bee venom is used instead of botox for treatment. The most popular one being breast enlargement with other treatments like tummy tucks, liposuction, removing eyebag, neck and facelift, brow lifts and nose jobs follow.
The cosmetic treatments’ market has made huge leaps with a 17% rise in past two years and now estimated to be around 2.3 billion Pounds.
