See if you have Candida or not
Facts about Candidosis
Candida Albicans is a fungus that can affect women and men too, sometimes giving harsh symptoms and sometimes just coexisting with the human, not bothering him at all. Candida might start giving symptoms the moment the equilibrium between the good bacteria from the body and the bad ones is being disrupted. This thing can happen after a long usage of antibiotics, birth control pills, and inadequate alimentation. Candida can affect the skin, the intestines, and the genital organs.
The symptoms given by Candida are so numerous that they are classified with difficulty. Here are some of them:
- Migraines
- Insomnia
- Memory problems
- Depression
- Eczemas
- Itchiness at the nose area, the genital area, the scalp or the eyes.
- In women a milky white discharge can be observed.
- Urinary infections
- Wrist pain
These symptoms can appear isolated or might coexist, and this is why doctors find it difficult to diagnose Candida. A lot of doctors might recommend antibiotics or antifungal treatment, but this is wrong as it will only solve the problem for a while, but cause other imbalances in the natural flora of the body. For vaginal candidosis the doctor will prescribe ovules, or a topic treatment (a cream that needs to be applied locally as well as intravaginal- Clotrimazole).
All these treatments are useful if the doctor does not recommend a special diet that goes along with the treatment. The purpose of this diet is to help maintain the good bacteria from the body and get rid of Candida.
Fruits like apples, oranges, grapefruit, pure yoghurt (with probiotics), cheese, lots of vegetables with a low glycemic index, fish oil, oregano, garlic, should be included in your daily meals. Also, try to keep away from sugar and aliments that are rich in carbohydrates, as they will only nurture Candida.
