Statistics say that over a half of the world’s population is confronting itself periodically with a state of an emphatic fatigue.
Doctors say that this permanent sensation of tiredness can have a lot of causes.
One of the main causes is the daily stress that the body tries and gets to manage up to a point, over that limit fatigue making itself noticed. Our intense and alert living style, too less sleep, an imbalanced diet that lacks the most essential vitamins and nutritive elements that are supposed to help the body function at a high status can also lead to the sensation of permanent tiredness.
We all read in the magazines and hear our doctor telling us that we should take things easier, and we should relax more, exercise regularly and adopt a healthy diet if we want our body to keep up with us, but how can we do this when we do not have enough time, energy or money to spend on maintaining ourselves.
If time is not on our side for exercising regularly or sleeping more, then the least we could do is implement some changes in our eating habits. Therefore, we should try to pay more attention to our daily food intake, meaning that we should include in our diet as much as we can aliments that help us regain our strengths.
A great day starts by not skipping breakfast. Breakfast is essential as it will prevent our body from suffering of the weakening ‘crises’ that makes us loose the focus we must have on our work. You can try eating an egg, joghurt, and a little bit of cheese and ham with some whole wheat bread. Cereals with milk are also a good option to consider. And of course, a cup of coffee or tea should be added to the breakfast menu as they are morning refreshers. Still, avoid drinking an exaggerate quantity of coffee or tea because you will get overwrought and instead of energizing yourself you will end up feeling exhausted.
Aliments that are rich in proteins (like meat and fish) are known to be vigilance stimulators. On the other hand, aliments that contain a high quantity of carbohydrates (sweets, and dried fruit) have a sedative effect especially for those persons who are already feeling tired. Such aliments should be consumed moderately at lunch and saved for after work.
Cereals, bread, pastas, rice and potatoes are energy suppliers for all the organs but especially for the brain and the muscles. They get to be assimilated in our body really slow and this is why they offer us energy for a longer period of time. Simple sweets like candies, cakes other pastry products do not have such a benefic effect on our body as they offer us energy only for the moment and leave our body energy uncovered fast.
Vitamins are also to consider if we want to last in a busy day. Vitamin C has a positive effect in the fight against fatigue, stimulates the immune system and is an excellent anti-oxidant agent. You can add supplements of vitamin C to your body by eating oranges, lemons, kiwi, red fruit and vegetables that are intensely colored (cabbage, tomato, and pepper).
Vitamin B12 is also of great help in maintaining our body fresh. This vitamin is needed by the brain and can be found in eggs, fish meat and red meat.
In case you have a stressful job, you should consider taking a supplement of magnesium. Magnesium has anti-stress properties and is also good in preventing infections. This great element can be found in chocolate, peanuts, hazelnuts, bananas, almonds, and avocado.
There is so much we could do to protect our body from the invasive actions of the surrounding factors just by starting to eat healthier. It does not take too much time to eat a fruit at the breakfast or to take a small break from working so that you could eat a healthy lunch. If you have will you can defeat stress and regain your energy in just a few days.
