Does dies contribute any behavioral development of our children? The issue will be addressed by leading nutrition experts in a forum organized by Nutrimenthe Project on 6th of October in York at the Cedar Court Grand Hotel in York, UK.

Financed by the European Commission through its 7th Framework Programme, European Project Nutrimenthe is coordinated by professor professor Cristina Campoy Folgoso from the University Of Granada Department Of Pediatrics. The nutrition will discuss the most suitable diet to develop mental performance of next generations.

There have been attempts by scientists to gather evidence showing that pre and post nutrition of children has its long-standing effect on their mental performance and well being. Various researches are being done under Nutrimenthe project where which more than two lacks children from various European countries are under observations. Very soon, the useful effects of long chain polyunsaturated fatty acid will be displayed as well as the positive outcome of vitamins and minerals given as personal or multi-nutritional supplementation in order to test the the mental performance of children.

Questions that will be discussed in the forum are:

Does consumption of folic acid have any effect on the brain of prenatal fetus?

Effects of fish and particular fatty acids on behavioral condition of fetus’ mind

Is cognitive development of nursery age children affected due to supplementation of B-vitamins?

How protein ingestion (breast milk versus formula milk) during babyhood affects later mental performance.

Nature versus nurture. Does our hereditary make-up have any effect the way we process certain nutrients?

Getting familiar on how parents and teachers identify that food affects mental recital of children.

Is there any way to assess the continuing economic impact of improving children’s mental performance?
