6 Powerful Feet Hygiene Tips!

Having smelly feet? Try these 6 tips and you will be as good as new.

As summer is approaching with high speed, we must be very careful with our body hygiene as heat can make our body sweat in an uncontrollable way and spoil our public image. Sometimes, no matter how often we would wash ourselves our feet still remain a delicate problem. Smelly feet are quite a nightmare for a lot of people, but luckily with a little bit of discipline this issue can be corrected.

It seems that the unpleasant smell of the feet is caused by bacteria that develop by feeding with dead cells from underneath our socks. By practicing sports or any other activities and wearing shoes that do not allow the feet to breathe we only amplify the bad smell of our feet. The key to perfect feet is adopting a good hygiene.

1. Choose the right shoes.

It is important to think about your feet not only about your looks when you buy new shoes. During the summer it is best to choose light shoes that allow the feet to breathe and remain dry instead of closed up shoes that will only make your feet sweat. Also, choose leather instead of plastic or rubber.

2. Change your socks.

If your feet are sweating a lot wash them daily and change your socks two times a day. Use only socks that are made from cotton as they absorb perspiration a lot better than socks made of synthetic materials.

3. Drink salvia tea.

This plant is great for stopping excessive perspiration. If your whole body sweats too much you can drink two cups a day of this tea and you will see that in two weeks your body will react positive to this natural treatment.

4. Try tannin tea.

Bathing your feet into tannin tea can help a lot. Use 3 or 4 tannin bags for 1 l of water. Boil this composition for 10 minutes then add enough cold water so that you can use it for your feet bath. 30 minutes twice a day of feet relaxation in this tea bath will help your feet remain dry during the long summer days.

5. Watch your diet.

Be careful what you eat. Food is responsible for a lot of the smells our bodies spread. Avoid eating onion, garlic and any other spices. Their essential oils will be excreted by the sweat glands of the feet leading to an unpleasant smell.

6. Wash, wash and wash some more.

It is important to wash your feet daily. If you sweat a lot you have to take care of your hygiene. Use a pumice stone on your soles and a soft brush for the space between the toes. At the end of the operation apply baby powder on the feet or special feet sprays that will keep perspiration under control. Also use foot spray for the inside of your shoes too.
