In Northern Greece 15 people were killed due to the attack of West Nile virus and nearly 158 other people were infected according to the Hellenic Centre for Disease Control and Prevention.
On Friday, 39 people were in hospital for treatment and more than 9 people were kept in I.C.U. However nearly 116 patients were discharged after successful treatment.
The virus is spreading through mosquitoes or blood transfusions. Some of the symptoms include neck stiffness, stupor, coma, tremors, paralysis, and vision loss. Health officials say that 80 percent of the people attacked have no signs or symptoms. Many government officials say that they are trying to prevent mosquitoes by spraying programs.
